the New York Times has a hilariously true flowchart of the consequences of being exposed to Dungeons and Dragons at an early age. I didn’t follow all the roads in that order, but certainly found myself on many of them.

Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, passed away this morning at the age of 69. His work with Dave Arneson revolutionized the gaming industry and provided many offshoots, including games, movies and books. The article had a wonderful detail from his wife:

Despite his declining health, he hosted weekly games of Dungeons & Dragons as recently as January.
